Today: Pet poisoning prevention, safe air travel for your pets, what do people owe farm animals, plus dog-training-by-radio

Here’s the guest list for this Sunday’s program. We are on 1080AM/104.1FM in Santa Cruz/Salinas/Monterey. But you can listen everywhere (almost) thanks to the internet.

Good show coming up:

Today begins Pet Poisoning Prevention Week, so we have an expert vet from the ASPCA Poison Control helpline to talk about common poisoning threats to our pets.

With pet air travel in the news, we have two experts from Where Is Jack? talking about how to ensure your pet travels safely and what to do if something bad happens.

The more we learn, the more we realize that our companion animals — cats and dogs — are not alone in having feelings and emotional lives. Jacy Reese is a co-founder of the Sentience Institute. We will focus on farm animals and what humans owe them in terms of care, humane treatment, and respect.

And, as always, Dog-Training-By-Radio with Laura Pakis.
