Pet-of-the-Week: Lucha

Lucha, Pet-of-the-Week

LUCHA – ID#A187229

Lucha is a champion. She was raised from a pup by one family who had to surrender her due to a move and a no pets policy at the new residence. Understandably, her first days at the shelter were quite a shock – her world was turned upside down. But, true to the resiliency of dogs, she has come out of her shell nicely and is ready to trust again. Lucha is a one-eyed girl, due to an encounter with a feral cat. She may not be the prettiest girl at the party, but her sweet nature and bubbly personality will win you over. She’s ready to play and snuggle with her people. Her next home should be with adults and older kids, but no cats, please. She has lived with another dog and would enjoy the company of a canine companion.

Lucha is a spayed female, tricolor Chihuahua – Smooth Coated, appx. 5 years old.

To Adopt: Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter, 1001 Rodriguez St., Santa Cruz
