David’s note: At six, Rex is just entering middle age. He looks rough that but will correct itself as he continues to heal. The shelter has made a big commitment to Rex and that only works with the community — fosters and adopters — follow through. Don’t judge a cat like Rex until you meet him in person.
REX* – ID #A245410
Rex has had a very tough go in his short six years and is looking for that big-hearted adopter who will accept him as he is. Rex was a stray, arriving at the shelter mid-February in very rough shape. He was distressed and in pain with multiple open wounds and terrible mites causing his hair to fall out. He looked terrible and probably felt much worse. After being given the veterinary care he needed, Rex is looking and feeling much better. He still has a way to go to full recovery but now that he’s feeling better his gentle, affectionate personality is starting to show. He solicits attention from staff and volunteers and wants to interact. He will probably do best in a quiet, calm home where he can be just Rex.
Rex is a neutered male, brown tabby Domestic Mediumhair, appx. 6 years old.
