This is monologue and two short interviews I recorded Saturday (5/5/2018) at the Cat House on the Kings Spring Open House. The first part of my description of the Cat House, a long talk with (perhaps) a minor fact error included. The one I know is the fall open house is in early November (not October, as I thought I remembered).
This segment will be broadcast on Sunday, May 6, 2018, and is being posted the night before.
The second segment is an interview with Cat House founder Lynea Lattanzio, who talks about the future of the 12-acre sanctuary, the peacocks and egrets and herons that also live there, and how coyotes are kept out, cats are kept in, and only the occasional raccoon climbs the fence.
Third is an interview with Laura Lemieux who is mom to one of the most famous cats ever adopted from the Cat House, an orange female named Marmalady. This is her preadoption story — how she became a tripod cat. Here is a link to her Facebook page, liked by more than 11,000 fans.
