Panetta, Pakis, Possums: Quick Line-up for Today

Warning: I have a sometimes evil cough again this week. I will try not to inflict it upon listeners.

On today’s program:

Panetta, Pakis, Possums: Quick Line-up for Today 1

12:30 p.m. — Rep. Jimmy Panetta talks about why he introduced in the U.S. House a bill to stop the needless killing of kittens — 3,000 since 1982 — by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Toxoplasmosis experiments justify this, they say.

12:08 p.m. — Samantha Camarra from Hearts for Paws Animal Rescue will be here to talk about the need for pet foster parents in the Monterey Bay area and how you might be able to help.

Panetta, Pakis, Possums: Quick Line-up for Today 2

12:45 p.m. — Faith Williams of the Humane Society Legislative Fund will discuss the other animal-related legislation being considered by the new Congress.

Panetta, Pakis, Possums: Quick Line-up for Today 3

1:08 p.m. — Trainer and co-host Laura Pakis will be here to talk about this week’s pet news and other topics.

Panetta, Pakis, Possums: Quick Line-up for Today 4

1:30 p.m. – Amy Red Feather of Native Animal Rescue of Santa Cruz County will talk about how a litter of baby possums was found — and saved — by a good Samaritan after their mother was hit by a car and killed. We will discuss how to save other kinds of baby animals, too. (I would fix the spacing here if only it would stay fixed!)
