Project Purr sponsors Santa Cruz County’s FREE feral cat spay/neuter program; trap-neuter-return; cat/kitten adoptions; focus is on reducing euthanasia of cats in the shelter and enhancing community health through trap-neuter-return programs and access to low-cost feral cat spay/neuter program and education and advocacy in the community.

Project Purr believes: Feral/community cats have a right to live. Trap-Neuter-Return is the most compassionate, and the only humane and effective way to reduce the population of feral cats. Spay/neuter is the single most important thing we all can do to help the animals. There are not enough homes for all the animals in Santa Cruz County – and you can never stem the tide of homeless animals if you ignore the least understood and in the greatest danger – feral cats and kittens!
