Wag and Cluck Blogger Christy Caplan
PODCAST (25:53) — On our 6/7/20 program, Christy Caplan of the Wag and Cluck and Wide Open Pets blogs talked about two recent projects, plus some ideas she is working on.
Most immediately useful is her testing of easy dog treat recipes for the Insider. Plus, she investigated a breed of Southern scent-hound called the Cur.
Later, we talked about microchipping and I think/hope I convinced her to expand her proposed “does Dawn dishwashing detergent kill fleas?” story to include all the animal uses of Dawn, which include degreasing seabirds pulled from oil slicks — as shown in Dawn’s TV commercials.
Christy is a vet tech and we are fortunate to have her join us every two or three weeks on the program.
Recently, Christy taught us how to clean a dog’s ears at home, perhaps avoiding a vet visit.
If you make any of the recipes, please tell us how they turn out by leaving a comment below! We’d also be interested in your Dawn soap experiences with animals.
