Carmen Rustenbeck, IBPSA

Carmen Rustenbeck, CEO & Founder of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA), has been involved in non-profit work for over 20 years and active in the pet care industry since 2004.

Carmen is committed to building a member-centered organization that promotes business education, best practices, and profit-maximizing strategies for the safety and security of pet clients and staff, and for the financial future of association members.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with focus on Project Management, and a minor in Music Performance & Fine Arts.

She has spent the last few years focused on building awareness of the pet care service industry and is currently working with school systems to introduce pet care as a viable career choice. She speaks every year at New Mexico State University where she introduces students in the Companion Pet Care Program to the varied career choices available to them outside of the veterinarian community.

This year Carmen will accept the 2018 Pet Age Women of Influence Award in March at the Global Pet Expo.
