DEADLINE: Monday, December 17, 2018
The California Department of Pesticide Regulation, in response to continuing reports of second-generation anticoagulant rodenticides (SGARs) harming non-target wildlife, recently announced it will consider reevaluation of products containing brodifacoum, bromadiolone, difenacoum, and difethialone. I support the proposal for reevaluation of products containing brodifacoum, bromadiolone, difenacoum, and difethialone (SGARs) and would like you to also consider including diphacinone, as this first generation anticoagulant is showing up in predators that have consumed poisoned animals.
The reevaluation process should clearly reveal the detrimental impact of these products on our wildlife, and, confirm there are effective alternate materials and procedures available that are less harmful and therefore registration of any and all products containing brodifacoum, bromadiolone, difenacoum, difethialone and diphacinone should be cancelled immediately.
